SSOP56 socket Converter suitable for Willem programmer. This adapter has 32 pins - 2.54mm pitch and corresponds to 32ZIF socket on Willem programmer. All 32pins are compatible with addresses, data and control lines from the 32 ZIF socket on the programmer. It is adapted to work with flash memory AM29BL802 working with version 097ja or later. They are available in car electronic modules like for example the ECU Bosch EDC16

Reading/Writing memory 16bit AM29BL802 and AM29BL162 (3,3V)-Willem programmer.
Working with the memory select 0.97ja or newer software and adapter SSOP56.
Place Flash memory AM29BL802/162 (SSOP56) intothe SSOP56 adapter on AddON PCB (direct mounting pcbboard):
- keeping in mind the right direction (Pin1 Flash memory must be on the same side as Pin1 AddOn board), and taking care all the legs of Flash pins fits on all pads of SSOP56.
Place the PCB AddOnalong with pre-located Flash memory, into motherboard adapter SSOP56- paying attention to the word "TOP" at the top of the plate which coincides with the word"TOP" of motherboard adapter
Then put the adapter "SSOP56-C1" in the programmer paying attention to the word "TOP" at the top of the adapter coincides with the word "TOP" in the upper part of the stand ZIF32 programmer.
After the programming process - dismount memory chip from the PCB AddOn adapter and then solder it in the target device.
Connecting the programmer:
Connect the programmer to the PC LPT port cable D-sub 25F / M, and a USB cable to your computer via USB to power it to +5 V (or AC adapter if we have a version of the programmer of such an option). At the programmer (before initiating an LPT port by the program) should light all the LEDs.
Please make sure that the selected port:
1) is enabled in the BIOS of the computer (VPP mode)
2) is availabled in windows (in the device manager)
3) is not turned off (red cross in the device manager), or there is no conflict (exclamation point)
4) in case of problems with the programming should also check for that port is not installed the specific drivers that may cause conflict (eg scanners, LPT, etc.)
Jumpers configuration:
Set the switch (or jumper) J5 in position PCB3 for version 097ja..
Blue jumper positions (or the red one) shows the switch after selecting the program memory from the menu.
In the menu choose:
Flash 16bit(LV)>29LVx00>MBM29LV800B,MBM29LV160B
Tested with AMD AM29BL802B (CB)
When you start you must select the correct LPT port and address - by default LPT1 (0x378) - (that to which we have connected the programmer)
- Tab in the lower right corner.
When the program starts with correctly initiated port, LEDs are off VPP, VCC. LED POWER should light up indicating the correct powering the programmer. Only now you can install the adapter with mounted memory into the socket ZIF32. Please note that the bottom pin (A19) on the adapter SSOP56 should merge with the J4 connector pin A19 on programmer board.
